Plot Summary:
Nicholas van Orton is very well-to-do San Francisco banker, but he is an absolute loner, even his birthday only spending. In the year of his 48-th birthday (the age committed his father suicide), gives his brother Conrad who has gone long ago and has arisen devotions of all kinds suddenly, back and gives to Nicholas a map which gives him access of the unusual entertainment provided by a little bit called consumer entertainment services (CRS). Up to thirst for knowledge giving, visits Nicholas CRS, and all kinds of uncanny and bad things start happening with him.
Nicholas Van Orton ist ein sehr wohlhabender San Francisco Bankier, aber er ist ein absoluter Einzelgänger, sogar seinen Geburtstag allein ausgebend. Im Jahr seines 48. Geburtstages (das Alter beging sein Vater Selbstmord), gibt sein Bruder Conrad, der vor langer Zeit gegangen ist und sich Hingaben aller Arten plötzlich ergeben hat, zurück und gibt Nicholas eine Karte, die ihm Zugang der ungewöhnlichen Unterhaltung zur Verfügung gestellt durch etwas genannt Verbraucherunterhaltungsdienstleistungen (CRS) gibt. Bis zur Wissbegierde gebend, besucht Nicholas CRS, und alle Arten von unheimlichen und schlechten Dingen fangen an, mit ihm zu geschehen.
