Plot Summary:
In the middle of a furious thunderstorm a fair leaves behind by chance very valuable cargo*mdash; a baby zebra. Gangly few foals is saved by the horse farmer Nolan Walsh who takes him home from his young daughter Channing. Once a master of thoroughbred trainers, Walsh has given up horse education for a quiet life with Channing on her modest farm of Kentucky. The small zebra, or *quot; Streifen*quot; because Channing calls him, food and Franny, a clever old nanny goat is soon introduced in the loner’s troop of the farm by court inhabitants, controlled by a mad Shetlandpony called who keeps the family in the line. The group becomes connected from the goose, a distraught big city pelican who is hidden on the floors, until the heat decreases in the tricot. The unsuitably called bloodhound’s lighting keeps a decayed eye on the walking - on in the farm - between hair. Racecourse limits the Turfway the Walsh farm, where highly qualified, thoroughbreds apply for the top honour of the horse racing sport, the ultrafamous crown of Kentucky. From the first moment stripes lay eyes on the track, he is hooked*mdash; he knows that if he could get just the chance he could leave all those other horses in the dust. What he does not know is*mdash; he is not exactly one horse. But with the typical zeal he devotes himself to the education for the big time with help a little of food who has coached a host of most racing horses in the past.
In der Mitte eines wütenden Gewitters lässt ein Jahrmarkt zufällig einen sehr wertvollen cargo*mdash zurück; ein Baby-Zebra. Der gangly wenig Fohlen wird vom Pferd-Bauer Nolan Walsh gerettet, der ihn nach Hause seiner jungen Tochter Channing nimmt. Einmal ein Meister rassiger Trainer, Walsh hat Pferd-Ausbildung für ein ruhiges Leben mit Channing auf ihrer bescheidenen Farm von Kentucky aufgegeben. Das kleine Zebra, oder "Streifen", weil Channing ihn nennt, wird bald in die Einzelgänger-Truppe der Farm von Hof-Einwohnern, geführt durch ein verrücktes Shetlandpony genannt das Essen und Franny, eine kluge alte Ziege eingeführt, wer die Familie in der Linie behält. Die Gruppe wird von der Gans, einem verstörten Groß-Stadtpelikan angeschlossen, der sich in den Stöcken verbirgt, bis die Hitze im Trikot nachlässt. Die ungeeignet genannte Bluthund-Beleuchtung behält ein faules Auge auf dem Gehen - auf an der Farm - zwischen Haaren. Die Walsh Farm begrenzt die Turfway Rennbahn, wo hoch qualifiziert, thoroughbreds bewerben sich um die Spitzenehre des Pferderennsports, die ultrarenommierte Krone von Kentucky. Vom ersten Moment legen Streifen Augen auf der Spur, er ist hooked*mdash; er weiß, dass, wenn er gerade die Chance bekommen konnte, er alle jene anderen Pferde im Staub verlassen konnte. Was er is*mdash nicht weiß; er ist nicht genau ein Pferd. Aber mit dem charakteristischen Eifer widmet er sich zur Ausbildung für die große Zeit mit ein wenig Hilfe vom Essen, wer einen Gastgeber von Meisterrennpferden in der Vergangenheit trainiert hat.
