Plot Summary:
The nice refugee, mercy (Nicole Kidman), comes in the isolated municipality of Dogville on the run of a team of gangsters. With some encouragement of Tom (Paul Bettany), the self-appointed city speaker, is ready the small community to hide them and for it, mercy is ready to work for them. However if a search starts, the people demand of Dogville a better business than remuneration for the danger to accommodate bad mercy, and she learns the hard kind how in this city goodness is relative. But mercy has a secret, and it is dangerous. Dogville can regret that it one day began to bare his teeth.
