Plot Summary:
A school community customer instruction leads to social changes which spread out from to to city city. So that asks to present an idea which will improve humanity, a young boy (Haley Joel Osment) decides, that if he can do three good actions for somebody and them after the row vorwärts*quot; et cetera *quot; can pay, positive changes can seem. What appears to be a failure at the beginning, is really a success which is known not immediately, but vice versa is pursued by a reporter who is a benefactor. The initial receivers of the boy are a junkie (James Cavaziel), his badly narbiger schoolteacher (Kevin Spacey), and his alcoholic mother (Helen Hunt). While physically and spiritually scratched by previous events the teacher is not only one weight-bearing scars. The young boy fears the destiny of his mother, especially in his crude, alcoholic father (Jon Bon Jovi) hands. The mother also carries scars of her childhood with a homeless, alcoholic mother (Angie Dickinson).
Eine Schulgemeinschaftskunde-Anweisung führt zu sozialen Änderungen, die sich von Stadt-zu-Stadt ausbreiten. Damit beauftragt, eine Idee zu präsentieren, die Menschheit verbessern wird, entscheidet ein junger Junge (Haley Joel Osment), dass, wenn er drei gute Taten für jemanden tun kann und sie es der Reihe nach vorwärts" und so weiter "bezahlen können, können positive Änderungen vorkommen. Was scheint, ein Misserfolg am Anfang zu sein, ist tatsächlich ein Erfolg, der nicht sofort bekannt ist, aber umgekehrt von einem Reporter verfolgt wird, der ein Wohltäter ist. Die anfänglichen Empfänger des Jungen sind ein Rauschgiftsüchtiger (James Cavaziel), sein schlecht narbiger Schullehrer (Kevin Spacey), und seine alkoholische Mutter (Helen Hunt). Während physisch und geistig geschrammt durch vorige Ereignisse der Lehrer nicht die nur eine tragenden Narben ist. Der junge Junge fürchtet das Schicksal seiner Mutter, besonders an seinem brutalen, alkoholischen Vater (Jon Bon Jovi) Hände. Die Mutter trägt auch Narben von ihrer Kindheit mit einer heimatlosen, alkoholischen Mutter (Angie Dickinson).
