Plot Summary:
David Aames takes everything that he has granted for; his wealth, his inherited publishing company, his beauty - his relations. Especially his relations. It catches up to him if a sexual partner of the friend / cannot sometimes see her respect in the way, he sees it. From this point the film takes a Lynchian rotation which moves, in the end, and to us literally in the tormented soul of Aames.
David Aames nimmt alles, dass er für gewährt hat; sein Reichtum, sein geerbter Verlag, seine Schönheit - seine Beziehungen. Besonders seine Beziehungen. Es holt zu ihm auf, wenn ein Sexualpartner des Freunds/manchmal ihre Beziehung auf die Weise nicht sehen kann, sieht er es. Von diesem Punkt nimmt der Film eine Lynchian-Drehung, die schließlich und uns wörtlich in die gefolterte Seele von Aames zieht.
