Plot Summary:
1327: after a mysterious death in an Abbey Benedictine, the monks are persuaded that the Revelation comes. With the Abbey to play the guest an advice of firm belief in the order of Franciscan which the Church should clear out itself from wealth, they ask William de Baskerville, a monk of respectable Franciscan, to help in the determination of the reason of precocious death. Alas, more deaths occur as the inquiry draws the Abbey more near in the exposure of secret there want hidden and has finally no stopping of the Holy Inquiry to take an active hand in process. William and his young beginner owe running against time to prove the innocence of unfairly the defendant and avoid the anger of interviewer saint Bernardo Gui.
1327: après une mort mystérieuse dans une Abbaye bénédictine, les moines sont convaincus que l’Apocalypse vient. Avec l’Abbaye pour jouer l’hôte à un conseil de la conviction de l’Ordre du Franciscan que l’Église devrait débarrasser lui-même de la richesse, on demande Guillaume de Baskerville, un moine de Franciscan respecté, d’aider à la détermination de la cause de la mort précoce. Hélas, plus de morts se produisent comme l’enquête tire plus près au dévoilement du secret l’Abbaye veut caché et il n’y a finalement aucun arrêt de l’Enquête Sainte de prendre une main active dans le processus. Guillaume et son jeune novice doivent la course contre le temps pour prouver l’innocence d’injustement l’accusé et éviter la colère d’Enquêteur Saint Bernardo Gui.
