Plot Summary:
In 2013 civilization almost destroyed itself. After a war which decimated the government and the most part of the population of the United States (perhaps the world) people fights survive against starvation and groups of scamp of armed men. They call such group Holnists. This group is bigger than other one and their leader, general Bethlehem, have phantasms of decision the country. A drifter (Costner) is captured by the group and forced to stick. It runs away in the first chance and finds a jeep of mail with one skeleton there incidentally. Skeleton carries a mail uniform and the drifter takes it to keep it hot. It also finds a mailbag and begins deceiving people with old letters. The hope that he sees in people that he delivers his plans in changes and decides him who he must help to overturn Holnists.
En 2013 la civilisation s’est presque détruite. Après qu’une guerre qui a décimé le gouvernement et la plupart de la population des États-Unis (peut-être le monde) les gens se bat survivre contre l’inanition et les groupes de coquin d’hommes armés. On appelle un tel groupe le Holnists. Ce groupe est plus grand qu’un autre et leur chef, général Bethlehem, ont des illusions de décision le pays. Un drifter (Costner) est capturé par le groupe et forcé à adhérer. Il s’enfuit à la première chance et y trouve une jeep de courrier par hasard avec une squelette. La squelette porte un uniforme postal et le drifter le prend pour le garder chaud. Il trouve aussi un sac postal et commence à tromper les gens avec de vieilles lettres. L’espoir qu’il voit dans les gens qu’il livre aux changements ses plans et lui décident qu’il doit aider à renverser le Holnists.
