Comme un garçon jeune Bruce Wayne regardé dans l’horreur comme ses parents de millionnaire était tué devant ses yeux, un trauma qui l’a mené à devenir obsédé par la vengeance mais sa chance est cruellement emportée de lui par le destin. Après le fait de disparaître à l’Est où il cherche le conseil avec le gourou ninja dangereux mais honorable connu comme Ra Al-Ghul, il rend à sa maintenant décomposition la Ville de Gotham dépassée par le crime organisé et les individus dangereux manipulant le système tandis que la compagnie qu’il a héritée est lentement tirée de sous lui. La découverte d’une grotte sous son manoir et un prototype le costume blindé le mène à embaucher un nouveau personnage, celui qui frappera la peur dans les coeurs d’hommes qui font mal - il devient, l’Ordonnance.
