Plot Summary:
In a calm village isolated in Pennsylvania olde, there a pact is between the people of the village and the creations that reside in the surrounding wood: the population of the city does not introduce the wood, and the creations do not introduce the village. The pact is true for many years, but when Lucius Hunt looks for medical provisions of the cities besides the wood, the pact is challenged. The carcasses of the animals, deprived of the skin, begin to appear around the village, causing to the council of old persons to be afraid of the security of the village, the pact, and so much more.
Em uma aldeia tranqüila, isolada na Pensilvânia olde, lá está um pacto entre a gente da aldeia e as criações que residem nas madeiras circundantes: a população da cidade não introduz as madeiras, e as criações não introduzem a aldeia. O pacto fica verdadeiro por muitos anos, mas quando Lucius Hunt busca provisões médicas das cidades além da madeira, o pacto é desafiado. As carcaças dos animais, destituídas da pele, começam a aparecer em volta da aldeia, causando ao conselho de pessoas idosas temer da segurança da aldeia, o pacto, e tanto mais.
