Plot Summary:
The Christian, a young poet Bohemian wannabe living in 1899 Paris, outbraves his father by joining the coloured coterie lively various living in darkness, in splendid Hell of the Red with cheeks now fabled Mill of Paris. In this rasped but bright shelter of sex, medicaments and newly discovered electricity, poet’s innocent thinks he is dived into a passionate but finally tragic link with Satine, the highest star was paid by the club and the most renowned courtesan of the city. Their novel is finished against the infamous club - a place of meeting of high life and bottom, where the aristocrats slumming and in rich fashion blended with the workers, the artists, the Bohemians, the actresses and the courtesans.
Le chrétien, un jeune poète Bohémien wannabe vivant en 1899 Paris, défie son père en rejoignant la clique en couleurs vives diverse habitant l’obscurité, les enfers magnifiques du Rouge à joues Moulin maintenant légendaire de Paris. Dans ce refuge râpé mais brillant de sexe, médicaments et électricité nouvellement découverte, l’innocent de poète se trouve plongé dans une liaison passionnée mais finalement tragique avec Satine, la plus haute étoile payée du club et la courtisane la plus réputée de la ville. Leur roman est fini contre le club infâme - un lieu de rencontre de haute vie et bas, où les aristocrates slumming et à la mode riche mêlé avec les ouvriers, les artistes, les Bohémiens, les actrices et les courtisanes.
