Plot Summary:
Two men wake in oppositions of a dirty, not more of used bathroom, chained by her ankles in whistle. Between them lies a dead man who holds on loose a portable tape player and a gun. Everybody finds a tape perfect suitable for the player in her Zurücktasche. They play the tapes. One is threatened, the other is not. But they have a task: One must kill other by 6:00, or his woman and daughter will die. They find metal saws in a toilet, and try to cut the chains, but it does not work. They are two newest victims of the gap saw murderer. In a flashback we learn from Amanda, to a girl, the victim to the gap saw murderer falls. On her head is a mask which becomes in her gaiter angehakt. There is a time knife on it. Only one key will unlock it, and this key is in the digestive tract of her cell comrade who lies paralyzed on the opposition of the room. If she does not unlock the mask on time, her gaiter is torn far open. She survives, but her cell comrade does not act. By a row of flashbacks we learn from more victims, and from the almost successful arrest of the gap saw murderer who kills his victims not really. Instead of this he finds ways to let kill them either to itself, or each other, and he thinks the complete ‘play’ completely without other ways. Or so it would seem.
Zwei Männer wachen an Gegenseiten eines schmutzigen, nicht mehr benützten Badezimmers, gekettet durch ihre Knöchel an Pfeifen auf. Zwischen ihnen liegt ein toter Mann, der lose einen tragbaren Band-Spieler und eine Pistole festhält. Jeder findet ein Band das vollkommene passende für den Spieler in ihrer Zurücktasche. Sie spielen die Bänder. Einer wird bedroht, der andere ist nicht. Aber sie haben eine Aufgabe: Man muss anderen durch 6:00 töten, oder seine Frau und Tochter werden sterben. Sie finden Metallsägen in einer Toilette, und versuchen, die Ketten zu schneiden, aber es arbeitet nicht. Sie sind die zwei neuesten Opfer des Spaltsäge-Mörders. In einer Rückblende lernen wir von Amanda, einem Mädchen, das Opfer dem Spaltsäge-Mörder fällt. Auf ihrem Kopf ist eine Maske, die in ihre Gamasche angehakt wird. Es gibt einen Zeitmesser darauf. Nur ein Schlüssel wird es aufschließen, und dieser Schlüssel ist im Verdauungstrakt ihres Zellgenossen, der gelähmt auf der Gegenseite des Zimmers lügt. Wenn sie die Maske rechtzeitig nicht aufschließt, wird ihre Gamasche weit geöffnet gerissen. Sie überlebt, aber ihr Zellgenosse tut nicht. Durch eine Reihe von Rückblenden lernen wir von mehr Opfern, und von der fast erfolgreichen Festnahme des Spaltsäge-Mörders, der seine Opfer nicht wirklich tötet. Statt dessen findet er Weisen, sie entweder sich selbst, oder einander töten zu lassen, und er denkt das komplette ‘Spiel’ vollkommen ohne andere Wege. Oder so würde es scheinen.
