Plot Summary:
Veterinarian of Vietnam Travis Bickle is gliding 26, a loner in the middle streets New York cities, slowly in the isolation and the forcible cynicism. In solving his sleeplessness, while he does a yellow taxi on the night shift, he grows increasingly made sick by the low lifes ones which hang out at night: *quot; one day a real rain will come and wash the whole foam of the streets. *quot; his moving attempts, around Betsy to win over a campaign worker of a senator turn acid if he brings them in a porno film in her first date. He fails even in his attempt to persuade child prostitute iris, to leave her pimp and to return to her parents and school. He buys to gears to the edge by the faint four guns and begins to murder the senator, on the disgrace of a ‘ lonesome mad gunman ‘ shutting.
Tierarzt von Vietnam Travis Bickle ist 26, ein Einzelgänger in den Mittelstraßen New York Citys, langsam in die Isolierung und den gewaltsamen Zynismus gleitend. Im Lösen seiner Schlaflosigkeit, indem er ein gelbes Taxi auf der Nachtschicht treibt, wächst er zunehmend angewidert durch die niedrigen-lifes, die nachts heraushängen: "Eines Tages wird ein echter Regen kommen und den ganzen Schaum von den Straßen waschen. " Seine rührenden Versuche, um Betsy, einen Kampagnearbeiter eines Senators zu werben, drehen Säure, wenn er sie in einen Porno-Film an ihrem ersten Datum bringt. Er scheitert sogar in seinem Versuch, Kinderprostituierte Iris zu überzeugen, ihren Zuhälter zu verlassen und zu ihren Eltern und Schule zurückzukehren. Getrieben zum Rand durch die Ohnmacht kauft er vier Pistolen und beginnt, den Senator zu ermorden, auf die Schande eines ‘einsamen wahnsinnigen Bewaffneten’ zugehend.
