Plot Summary:
Elspeth McGillicuddy, an old friend of Miss Marple, is witness of a murder of strangulation in a temporary train by the window of his coach’s compartment. When the Inspecteur de La Peu consciencieux police cannot find a body along footprints and doubt of the validity of history, Miss Marple and Elspeth find the region where the body was probably thrown of the train, the manor isolated from an old, a sour millionaire, Luther Crackenthorpe. The niece Lucy de Miss Marple is recruited to ask for a job on the state in the hopes of finding the body. When it thinks it in an ancient sarcophagus in an Egyptian of house of dependency and treasures is étrusques of art, the police and Miss Marple is made intercede. Of course somebody in the big home is involved, but who?.
Elspeth McGillicuddy, un vieil ami de Mlle Marple, est témoin d’un meurtre de strangulation dans un train passager par la fenêtre de son compartiment d’entraîneur. Quand l’Inspecteur de La police Peu consciencieux ne peut pas trouver un corps le long des empreintes et doute de la validité de l’histoire, Mlle Marple et Elspeth trouvent la région où le corps a été probablement lancé du train, le manoir isolé d’un âgé, un millionnaire revêche, Luther Crackenthorpe. La nièce Lucy de Mlle Marple est recrutée pour demander un emploi sur l’état dans les espoirs de trouver le corps. Quand elle le trouve dans un sarcophage ancien dans un égyptien d’habitation de dépendance et des trésors étrusques d’art, la police et Mlle Marple sont faits intervenir. Évidemment quelqu’un dans la grande maison est impliqué, mais qui ?.
