To save his dying father, young brilliant piece cyclist Johnny Blaze sells his soul to Mephistopheles and sadly parts of the pure-sweet Roxanne Simpson, the love of his life. Years later the path of Johnny again meets Roxanne, now a reporter, and also with Mephistopheles who agrees to publish the soul of Johnny if Johnny becomes the incredible, glowing mind rider, a supernatural agent of the revenge and justice. Mephistopheles accuses Johnny of the Besiegens of the shameful Blackheart, the Nemesis of Mephistopheles and son who plans to move his father and to make a new hell even more awful, than the old one.

Jahre später trifft sich der Pfad von Johnny wieder mit Roxanne, jetzt ein Reporter, und auch mit Mephistopheles, wer sich bereit erklärt, die Seele von Johnny zu veröffentlichen, wenn Johnny der sagenhafte, glühende Geisterreiter, ein übernatürlicher Agent der Rache und Gerechtigkeit wird. Mephistopheles klagt Johnny wegen des Besiegens des schändlichen Blackheart, der Nemesis von Mephistopheles und Sohns an, der plant, seinen Vater zu versetzen und eine neue Hölle noch schrecklicher zu schaffen, als der alte.
