Hopes of the fifth calibreur Jesse Aaron to become the quickest racer in his class are ruined when the new girl Leslie Burke outdistances everybody, by including it. However, Jess and Leslie soon begin a friendship and create a magical kingdom in the forest, where two of them reign together as the king and the queen.
