show all Peter was born in a barn in Conway Ontario, pop. 55, on his family's dairy farm. He studied theatre and physical education at Queen's University in nearby Kingston, and won the Rookie of the Year award for athletics in his first year. He left Queen's after two years to attend the prestigious George Brown Theatre School in Toronto. Since graduating, Peter has performed in lead and supporting roles in many plays and musicals across Canada, at theatres such as the Tarragon, Theatre Passe Muraille, the Arts Club, Gateway Theatre etc. He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1990, after a solo cycling trip from London England to Egypt. He competed in the Vancouver International Triathlon, and still enjoys ice hockey, skiing and many other sports, despite a life-changing car accident (VW bus actually) in 1994.
He also performs as a musician, stiltwalker and children's entertainer. He has recorded a number of CDs, including a solo CD of original songs that provided the soundtrack for his award-winning play, "Going Somewhere Slow (2002)", and the short film based on that play.
He often performs at benefits and fundraisers around Vancouver, and is actively involved with Oxfam and Big Brothers, among others. He continues to write songs, plays and screenplays, travel, and read Tom Robbins. He plans to bicycle 'round the world one day, despite the silliness of current affairs.
