Joe Hickley thinks that he has a big plan: kidnap the child of rich parents, hold it for 24 hours, by keeping the mother under his control while an accomplice accepts the ransom of the father, which is on a trip. But things go very badly when it tries this plan on the family Jennings, partly because their daughter Abby is the asthmatic and partly because Jennings learns more that Hickley wants them to know.
