The film begins with ageing undergrowth-like Bill Roberts who tells his history to a young historian. His claim? He states that he is the famous criminal William H. Bonney, deck name Billy the child who was presumably shot and was killed by Patrick Floyd Garrett in 1881. The old man gives a very persuasive history on it, like he and Garrett, together with Arkansas Dave Rudabaugh, Chavez y Chavez, Dok. Skurlock, and many others the criminal’s life led and avoided the law because they were wanted men. Garrett, a friend of Billy, became from John Chisum, to a cattle king paid-up to remove Billy the child. So, Garrett and Ashmun Upson begin away, Billy the child to find.
