Felix Cortez, chefe de segurança de Ernesto Escobeda, "a vítima" do dinheiro ausente, são um do chefe de cartel. Cortez tenta jogar ambos os lados, parecendo informar Escobeda sobre o envolvimento da AGÊNCIA CENTRAL DE INTELIGÊNCIA nas operações cobertas contra ele, tentando orquestrar um golpe para assumir o cartel, com Cortez como é o único chefe. James Cutter, Aconselhador de Segurança Nacional de Presidente, faz o seu próprio negócio com Cortez, com o conhecimento de Presidentes, e pára comunicações às tropas cobertas ainda na Colômbia, pelo Deputado de Diretor de Operações, AGÊNCIA CENTRAL DE INTELIGÊNCIA, Robert Ritter. Ryan termina de ir à Colômbia resgatar cobiçar ops tropas com a ajuda do agente de campanha John Clark, mas não antes de alguma cerca que se restabelece entre os dois, sendo isto Ritter culpou Ryan da perda por vazamento comm, com homens de Clark que posteriormente são capturados por mercenários de Cortez.
