This is the year 35 of the Vulgar Age. The Emperor Tiberius is worried for strange phenomena, an earthquake and the sky that black as an eclipse turns round. His astrologers give him the just warning: his predictions indicate that the world is in the convulsions of a big agitation and that old gods have been annihilated. A new kingdom is on the verge of the increase of the East. The Emperor calls Tito Valerio Tauro, the most prominent investigator in Rome, behind of his exile. It was years condemned to the ostracism earlier because he had discovered too much as for the death of the big August Emperor, the precursor of Tiberius. The Tiberius entrusts Taurus with a mission that will need all his talent: if he leads it successfully, his good name will be completely restored. He must discover the truth as for the capital punishment of a rabbi poor Judean. His name is Jesús de Nasareth and they say that he has resuscitated of the dead persons. The Tiberius is convinced that this has something that to see with the predictions and the celestial predictions that shook the world some months earlier. The Taurus is the septic one and the only thing in which he believes is the reason, but a series of mysteries that will put his intelligence to the test waits for him in Judea. Nothing is when it seems in Jerusalem. The governor Pilate is an ambiguous man, they discredited both and traitor, who weaves his way between the opposite features of Fanatic and Pharisee. During his question, Taurus comes face to face with individuals that he has never found earlier: Saul de Tarso, a brave defender of Mosaic tradition and a firm accuser of Christians; the mysterious and almost insane Judas of Iscariot, who is probably one of the disciples of Jesús de Nasareth; and the supposed leader of the Christians, a poor fisherman called Shimon Peter. They are humble and powerful men, belonging to a faction or other, but who share an obsession: an idea of faith that the Roman eyes of Taurus seem to be simply incomprehensible and completely dangerous. He resists this idea with all his force. He believes that Jesús is only a croaking, a faker’s species and his supposed resurrection must be a public practical joke organized in order to exploit the credulous one of the poor part, the first one all of them to be converted to the Christian sect, Jesús’s followers, almost belonging at the lowest social levels of the society: fishermen, farmers, up to slaves - all of them treated as free men. And the same real grips, more surprisingly still, for women - equal men in the eyes of Christian Dios. One of these women who believe in Jesús will offer finally to Taurus the key to the understanding of Jesús’s mystery of the death of Nasareth and will conclude the mission with which the Emperor has entrusted him. His name is Tabitha. She is not yet twenty years old and she will discover the mystery of love to the most intelligent Roman and more disappointed investigator.

Su nombre es Tabitha. Ella no tiene todavía veinte años y ella descubrirá el misterio de amor al investigador romano más inteligente y más desilusionado.
