| When President De Gaulle decides to grant independence to French Algeria, several of the soldiers, who fought in that campaign, feel that De Gaulle is belittling the lives of the men who died there. So they form a group and make attempts at De Gaulle and fail. When several of their key members are killed or caught and eventually executed, the three top members decide to hire a professional assassin to take out De Gaulle. The man that they chose agrees to do it on the condition that he be alllowed complete autonomy. He also advises them to go into hiding until the job is done. And they do. When the French Security force learns that they have shut themselves off from the rest of world are curious what they are doing. So they abduct their errand boy, and once interrogated all he says is the assassin's code name, "The Jackal", they hypothesize that they have hired an assassin to go after DE Gaulle. Once De Gaulle is informed he refuses to alter his plans and will not allow extra security added. So his ministry decides that they should find the Jackal before he makes his move. They appoint the best detective in France, Claude Lebel to find him. Lebel plan is to contact every police department in the world and see if the Jackal comes from their country and if so to provide him with a description and/or a photo. Now Scotland Yard has a small lead but unfortunately they miss him but they have his passport so assuming that he is out of the country, they try and find the passport that he is using. Now when they think that they have him, he discards the identity that he is using and assumes another one. Can they find him before he gets De Gaulle? Search keywords

| The idea of the film was apparently given to Chaplin by a young reporter, who told him about the production line system in Detroit, which was turning its workers into nervous wrecks. In the film, Charlie becomes literally trapped in the machine and, in one of his finest patches of comic invention, is battered and buffeted by an automatic feeding machine introduced by his bosses to save time and money. Cured after his breakdown, he is arrested when he picks up a red flag that has fallen off the back of a lorry, and runs down the street to return it, exactly the same time as a left-wing demonstration comes round the corner. He meets 'The Gamine' in the back of the police van, who has also been arrested for stealing bread. From then on the theme is about two nondescripts trying to get along in modern times. | According to Boston Red Sox super fan Ben Wrightman, finding romance is just as likely as his beloved team winning the World Series. But then Ben meets Lyndsey Meeks, and suddenly anything's possible. Well... until Spring Training begins, and Lindsey sees Ben on ESPN in Florida acting like an idiot. But these games don't count, and she knows that there may be trouble once the first pitch is thrown. But she seems fine about it, because as she competes for a promotion, she says Ben won't be affected by her at work all the time. But things really get out of hand when Lyndsey gets hit by a line drive foul ball off of Baltimore Orioles' Miguel Tejada, and the Sox begin to loose. The relationship picks up, but when Lyndsey gives Ben the opportunity to go to Paris with her, he turns it down, because Seattle's rolling in and the Sox are 3 1/2 games behind New York and Ben says that they need him. Later, the Red Sox are in the ALCS against New York, and fall behind three games to none. Then, Ben decides to sell his Red Sox tickets to make Lyndsey happy and say that he loves her.
