Film adaptation of the street the Epistle of tough Jim Carrolls about his kaleidoskopischen free case in the horrific world of the drug addiction. The best friend, that of leukaemia, a trainer (*quot; Swifty*quot;) dies who takes unacceptable freedoms with the boys on his team, sexual teenager’s fear, and an injurious appetite for heroin *mdash; everything of these begins to penetrate into the dream of the young Jim, to become a basketball star. The dark streets of New York soon become a hiding place of the rising worry of his mother for her son. He cannot go home, and his only escape from the reality of the streets is heroin for which he steals, robs and to itself prostitutes. Only with the help of Reggie an older neighborhood friend, with which is Jim *quot; a Spiel*quot; from time to time took up, he able to begin the long trip back to the reason.
