A drama based on an ancient Chinese proverb which takes life down in four emotional cornerstones: happiness, pleasure, moans and love. A businessman (Whitaker) bets his life on a running of horse; a bandit (Fraser) sees future; a star of section (Gellar) becomes the prey of a boss of crime (Garcia); a doctor (the Bacon) must save the love of his life.

At the end of the 70s dysfunctional Kenneth Bianchi with his mother lives and is tormented to join to the police.
