A woman called the Grace (Kidman) lives with his two children Anne and Nicholas (Mann and Bentley) to an almost empty island in his enormous wife’s house. The husband of the grace is a soldier in WWII and the Grace has left his husband for dead person. Everything seems pacific for her, but when they give to three mysterious servants employments in the house, the frightening secrets are opened that even the Grace cannot manage.
